Steps to Download NCERT Books (Official Method)
Step 1: Visit the Official NCERT Website

You’ll reach the NCERT Textbooks Portal, where all books from Class 1 to 12 are available in PDF form.
Step 2: Choose Your Class
On the homepage, you’ll see a drop-down menu labeled “Select Class.”
Choose the class you need (e.g., Class 6, Class 10, or Class 12).
Step 3: Select the Subject
Once you select the class, the website automatically loads another drop-down menu called “Select Subject.” Pick your subject, for example:
Science
Social Science
History
Geography
Political Science / Civics
Sociology
Fine Art / Art & Culture
Step 4: Select the Book Title
After you choose a subject, another menu appears — “Select Book Title.” For example:
Class 6 → Our Pasts – I (History)
Class 9 → Democratic Politics – I (Polity)

Class 12 → Themes in Indian History – III (History)
Step 5: Choose the Chapter or Full Book
You’ll now see a list of chapters (1, 2, 3, …) and an option at the top that says “Download Complete Book.” Click “Download Complete Book” to get the full PDF.
Or, click any individual chapter name to download specific chapters separately.
Step 6: Save the File
Your browser will start downloading a PDF file.
