Arth Ganga, a recent addition to the Namami Ganga Program, seeks to establish a sustainable economic development model that fosters the relationship between the Ganga river and its communities. Six key pillars include promotion of natural farming, monetization of treated water, livelihood improvement, tourism and cultural heritage promotion, people’s participation, and capacity building. Its ultimate objective is to bridge economic activities with Ganga’s revitalization involving community participation.
