India’s indigenous artillery capabilities received a major boost as the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully conducted the maiden flight test of the Pinaka Long Range Guided Rocket (LRGR-120) from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur, Odisha. The successful test coincided with the Defence Acquisition Council’s clearance of defence procurement proposals.
