The Odisha government will host the Global Energy Leaders’ Summit (GELS) 2025 in Puri, bringing together senior policymakers, industry executives, researchers and global organisations to shape India’s future energy roadmap. Scheduled from 5–7 December 2025, the summit aims to support national goals for clean, secure and affordable power.

The year’s theme reflects India’s twin priorities of boosting energy availability and ensuring environmental sustainability while accelerating technological transformation across the sector. The three guiding pillars include:

- Balance – Aligning growth with ecological responsibility
- Innovation – Adoption of advanced, cost-effective energy solutions

Delegates will engage on a wide spectrum of strategic issues:
- Rising power demand driven by industrialisation and digital growth
- Strengthening grid infrastructure and storage deployment
- Expanding renewable capacity, especially offshore wind and green hydrogen
